4D Products Flight Training
4D Products is now offering professional, friendly and relaxed R/C helicopter flight training. With our years of technical and flying expertise, we can provide skilled backup in all aspects of spares and accessories for this exhilarating and expanding sport.
We are based in Somerset West and fly on our own flying field on the N2 10 minutes outside Somerset West. We also offer "travelling lessons" where we come to you and train you at your own flying field.
At a cost of R200 per hour (or 3 flights (excluding travelling expenses)), we can teach you from the hover right up to full aerobatics and mild 3-D with your own helicopter (30 size and larger). We teach using the "buddy-box" method on JR and Futaba radios so that you have the least amount of stress while learning and have the safest possible flight.
Our course follows a step-by-step method that has been refined and proven over time to be thorough and specifically directed to your learning requirements. If you’re just starting out or simply having difficulty fine-tuning the basic components of your flight, we can help.
Training consists of personal instruction to help the new or intermediate pilot understand the basic components of flight maneuvers and the mechanical operations of the helicopter and how they directly relate to each other. We will analyze the performance of not only the helicopter but the pilot as well. Our aim is to synchronize both units to make them one.

We are able to provide pre-paid gift vouchers with either the date and time specified or even left open. Please note however, these must be redeemed within 12 months of the date of issue of the voucher. Just decide how many hours you would like to pre-pay for and either pay on the site using our credit card facilities or send us proof of EFT payment with a note giving us the name that you want on the voucher and telling us where you would like the voucher sent.

*PLEASE NOTE* - Once a lesson has been booked, a minimum of 24 hours notice must be given if you wish to cancel for reasons other than bad weather. If the minimum notice has not been given, the full charge for the lesson will apply.
