RjX Hurrican 50 Kit with Metal Head and Tuned Muffler

SKU KIT-006
This excellent 50 size model allows allows different levels of pilots to use one machine for any type of flying! If you're a novice pilot, and intermediate pilot, F3C or a 3D beginner then this is your machine.

The Hurrican 50 has a stacked G-10 main frame construction. We have chosen G10 as our main frame material as it is more crash resistant than carbon fiber, is less noisy, is less likely to promote any unwanted "glitches" from the radio system and is cheaper! Remember, G-10 is not a conductor, where carbon fiber is!

Each kit also features, AS STANDARD, a silver all alloy head, swash plate, double ball-raced alloy mixing levers, a tuned muffler and a header tank!
These parts are top class. The head parts are NOT cast items, but machined from solid billet aluminium to the highest standard.

The model has a rotor diameter of 1339mm (blade dependent), with a target weight of 3.2-3.6 kg and is fully capable of F3C or 3-D style – it’s your choice!

What sets the Hurrican 50 apart from other 50 size helis is that Included with every kit are ALL the parts needed to build the helicopter either as an eCCPM (electronic Cyclic Collective Pitch Mixing) or MPM (Mechanical Pitch Mixing) giving the builder an option when constructing the kit! We recommend building it as an eCCPM helicopter for a slightly easier build but the choice is yours!

Although most builders will probably go for an OS 50 or a YS 50  engine as the power unit, RJX also has an optional conversion pack to enable the Hurrican 50 to be converted to electric power for around R330-00. This pack makes the suggested Hacker (or equivalent) electric motor an easy fit, and includes a pinion for the Hacker motor.

Like the nitro powered version, the electric version delivers blistering performance, and during testing in Spain recently, showed it was capable of achieving good 3D performance, and flight times of up to ten minutes if flown a little less violently!
