Available in both conventional mechanical mixing (HPM) and eCCPM (SWM) Hirobo’s all new SDX 50 is possibly the most competitive 50 ever developed. Featuring a new cutting-edge head design, the SDX can be minutely adjusted to meet the performance levels from beginners to seasoned 3D pilots. This is not merely an upgrade, but a completely new design from the world’s leading RC Helicopter Company.
Coupled with that, each ARF kit comes with an OS 50 motor (standard OS 50 SZ-H with Hyper carb) and a set of Hirobo main blades.
The new FZ-5 rotor head – based on the competition winning Turbulence - delivers the most precise control ever created for a 50 size helicopter.
- The rotor head features outstanding control for any maneuver, while a precision machined, aluminum hub and spindle design easily cope with the most demanding 3D flying.
- An end to interaction… all three control bell cranks rotate on a single pivot as opposed to the conventional two or three. In addition, the new swash plate delivers almost 60% more precise movement than our older aileron and elevator throws… result: there’s no binding, and we’ve virtually eliminated control interaction
- Two mixing options for eCCPM use… unlike ordinary 50s that only offer 120º eCCPM mixing geometry, the SDX provides both 120º and 135º options for unprecedented precision and rock solid control
- A whopping 30º collective pitch range in both variations delivers the “POP” required for 3D. In addition, the cyclic range approaches 9º of deflection for exceptionally quick pitch and roll rates
